Enya's pedigree

On April 30, 2007, our first Pumi came to live with us. This was Györgyudvari Cudar Bejgli, or Enya as we call her. She was 1,5 years old when we got her but het roots are in Dinnyés, Hungary.

Socialization is very important for many dog breeds, but especially for pumi's. Due to circumstances, Enya has missed this. Therefore she can be quite reserved to strangers, which has proven to be a real handicap with for instance shows.

As soon as we got her, we joined a class for young dogs which has given her a boost in her self-confidence. After that, we introduced her to agility. This is completely her thing. Without remembering all the other people and dogs present, she enjoys every part of the game. If she gets a chance, she takes off and runs her own track while shooting through the tunnel and running over A-frame, catwalk and teeter. Of course is a good hike in the forest or in the fields also great. Apart from that, she walks next to the bike several times a week. And once a week daughter Raquel takes her to agility class.
